Summary:

In Part I, we opened the series by establishing that all Scripture does three things: it testifies to the Father’s character, directs people to the Son, and brings comfort or revelation from the Holy Spirit. These aren’t just theological statements—they’re lenses for life, especially in suffering.

This message explores the heavenly courtroom scene in Job 1, where Satan asks, “Does Job fear God for nothing?” That question becomes the foundation of the whole book. We see a God who is confident in His servant Job—and we begin to ask ourselves: Will we fear God for nothing? Without the blessings? Without the understanding? It’s an invitation to wrestle with God, to examine where our faith may be circumstantial, and to lean into trust when everything’s stripped away.

Go Deeper

  • Read: Job 3-31

  • Reflect: Where have I made my relationship with God conditional?

  • Have I placed limits on how far I’ll trust Him when things fall apart?

  • Pray: Lord, I want to know You, not just what You give.

  • Reveal any place in my heart where I’ve withheld trust. I choose to wrestle, not run. Teach me to fear You for nothing.
